IDS Course Check Process

Pre-term Course Checks

  1. At the end of each semester, Dean of LR&C will email the current course checklist to faculty and inform them of the date courses should be ready for review.
  2. Courses should be ready for Distance Education to check 7-10 days before classes start. Deans will send emails to faculty with specific deadlines for mid-term course checks.
  3. When courses are ready to be checked faculty will notify Distance Education via email sent to distance@cctech.edu.
  4. After Distance Education checks courses for IDS compliance, results will be recorded on a spreadsheet. Distance Education will email course instructor and department chair/program manager with a subject line stating issues found or no issues found.
  5. Department chairs/program managers will communicate with faculty and check to ensure corrections have been made. Any action or escalation to deans will be determined by department chairs/program managers.
  6. Department chairs/program managers will notify Distance Education via email that the courses in their areas are IDS compliant.
  7. Distance Education will send a final report to each dean for their areas and a full report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
